Honorary chairs Judy Smith and Sue Smith have lined up a silent auction for a coveted Neiman Marcus shoe wardrobe.
Proceeds benefit the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of
Medicine and donations will be matched.

dressed socialites often outdo the professional models. After all, what
’s the point of buying something new if you don’t have a place to show it off? It’s a chance to look good while you feel good helping out a worthwhile cause.
Fashionistas…put this date on your calendar: April 2 at the Hotel ZaZa for the aptly named Passion for Fashion Luncheon for the Houston Community College Foundation. The Chronicle’s Clifford Pugh will be interviewing designer Cesar Galindo, who will present some of his fall designs. Funds from this first-time event
will benefit HCC
’s renowned fashion and interior design programs headed by Kay King. Julia Frankel is chairing, and Leisa Holland Nelson and Bill Englund are co-chairing.

Houston celebrates five dynamic
“A-List” women including Ann Deaton, Audrey Lawson, Anne Mendelsohn, Alicia Smith and Ann Stern. The event is chaired by Sara Speer Selber and Heather Simpson.
(1) Cabaret for a Cure
Nearly a dozen performers helped the annual “Cabaret for a Cure” hit a high note, raising more than $300,000 for Legacy Community Health
Services. Debra Grierson, Paul David Van Atta and Chree Boydstun set the tone
for the glam evening.
(2) Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup and Best Bites
More than 4,000 wine enthusiasts at Rodeo Uncorked! enjoy a tasting of fine
wines and cuisines at the Roundup and Best Bites Competition. Helping to
orchestrate the massive event were (l-r) Leroy Shafer, Jim Janke, Charles R.
“Bear” Dalton and Stephanie Earthman Baird.
(3) The A-List Honorees
Five Houston women, Anne Mendelsohn, Ann Stern, Alicia Smith, Ann Deaton and
Audrey Lawson, have made the
“A-List.” The women will be honored on April 2 at the Crisis Intervention of Houston
annual gala. The honorees
