But more importantly, according to Chester, is his “wire closet.” This significant room houses his electronics equipment. Chester says
half-comically, half seriously,
“On MTV’s cribs, those folks say the magic happens in their bedrooms. In my house, the
magic happens in my wire closet.
” LaToya seconds that emotion. She says that out of everything they’ve done in their home, Chester is most proud of the fact that his is a “Smart” home. From any of their personal communication devices, the televisions or
computers, they can instantly program lights, security and temperature, along
with other elements of their home, truly customizing the space to reflect their
immediate needs or desires.
The aura of the Pitts’ home is simultaneously elegant and easy, truly reflective of the homeowners’ lives. Jana Rizzuto concurs, “This home totally reflects Chester and LaToya. The unassuming warmth and
understated elegance is exactly who they are.
” She also asserts that they gave her exactly what she needed to do her job, “Trust. They allowed me to translate their style and their taste into a home that

The game room gives Chester a perfect spot to display his commemorative game

jerseys, and each tells a story. The #70 jersey is his college jersey from San
Diego State where he was an Aztec; the #3 jersey represents the first year of
the Texans as an NFL franchise where he was their #3 pick in the draft; the #69
jerseys are his current jerseys. The game balls range in significance from the
Texans
’ first shut out to balls signed by Bruce Matthews and Jackie Stater, legends in
the game.
Like the rest of the home, this room is expansive, so large
furniture fills the space
naturally and comfortably.
