Fred and Kay Zeidman’s son Mark has some exciting news—in addition to his upcoming July 4 wedding. His fiancée, Cara Rosenthal, a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader, is competing on the CBS reality series Amazing Race. Cara is sworn to secrecy, so we’ll have to watch to find out how she does.

Proving that style and substance run in the family, Sheridan Williams and her
daughter Kristen Nix are among the 2009 March of Dimes Best Dressed honorees.

Lighting up the scene at the Social Book Launch Party are Carol Sawyer and Leisa
Holland Nelson. They joined an enthusiastic crowd cheering the 2009 Houston
Treasures.

Kappy Muenzer with little Dixie at a pet-friendly event at the Amalfi at Hermann
Park, where the admission was a donation of dog or cat food for the animals at
Citizens for Animal Protection
(17) Santa Maria Hostel
Xavier Pena and Roxy Riefkohl mixed and mingled with supporters of the Santa
Maria Hostel at the Hope Gala, chaired by Jontae Chatman and Deborah Duncan.
The Hostel is a chemical dependency treatment program for women.

Chairs Dee Dee and Wallis Marsh with Oklahoma’s Coach Bob Stoops at the American Heart Association’s Paul “Bear” Bryant College Coaching Awards Dinner. The Lifetime Achievement Award was
presented to Oklahoma legend Barry Switzer.
(12) Coaching Legacy
Marc Bryant Tyson, grandson of Paul “Bear” Bryant, presents the 2008 Coach of the Year Award to Utah’s Coach Kyle Whittingham. More than $330,000 was raised for the American Heart
Association.
